Together, the father-son team of John and Brian Smith has more than 50 years of jewelry and business experience.  They are committed to providing the finest quality merchandise, at reasonable prices, with unsurpassed customer service.

The Smiths take a great deal of pride in their family owned and operated business, and they recently celebrated their third anniversary. The business is growing, and the patronage of their customers, past and future, is highly important to them.  John and Brian are both passionate about what they do, and they strive to be the best in the business.

Early in his career, John worked for a large jewelry company in Kansas City, holding jobs in the factory covering all phases of jewelry manufacturing, and in the company’s retail store as a salesman.  He then began a successful 31-year career as a financial executive with Fortune 500 consumer products’ company Procter and Gamble before recently deciding to return to the jewelry business. John holds a BA Degree in Economics from Park College and an MBA Degree from Cornell University.  He and his wife, LouAnn, are empty-nesters, with 17 grandchildren to enjoy.

Brian has more than 15 years of experience in all phases of the jewelry business, including retail, manufacturing, and casting.  For the 12 years prior to forming Smith Jewelers, he was a senior manager for a diamond wholesaler.  His vast knowledge of diamonds and his outstanding creative talent have earned him a solid reputation as a premier jewelry designer.  He holds a BS Degree in Jewelry and Metal Arts from Bradley University.  Brian and his wife, Diane, have two active sons.
