Glendale Inspired Jewels

Glendale-Inspired Jewels – The Heritage Collections

John Smith, a resident of the Village of Glendale,  and his son Brian appreciate the town’s rich history and heritage. In honor of their community, they have designed exquisite jeweled pieces that capture the architecture and characteristics unique to Glendale.

The Village of Glendale was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977, and with his artist’s eye, Brian has captured the vibrant, historical architecture of the village with these collections. From the magnificent iron archway at the entrance to the Village Square, to the iron work step risers of the landmark Train Depot, let your eyes behold this original collection of masterful pieces.

Depot One -

Depot One

Depot One is a representation of the scroll work on the steps of the landmark Glendale Train Depot. The current depot was built in 1880 after the original depot was destroyed by fire a year earlier.  This original piece of 18K White Gold accented with white and black diamonds was donated to the Glendale Heritage Preservation Group and sold at a silent auction.

Gateway Collection -

Gateway Collection

The Gateway Collection was inspired by the design found in the iron arch at the entrance to Glendale’s Village Square. Some believe that this design is a symbol of good fortune, similar to a four-leaf clover.

The collection is comprised of twelve completely different pendants representing the twelve design repetitions found in the arch. The pieces were designed using twelve unique combinations of 18K Yellow and White Gold, four ˝ ct. vibrant round cut gemstones accented by 1.5mm white or black diamonds. Some pieces of this collection are showcased in the store, with only half of the pendants available for purchase. Depending on the jewels within the pendants, prices for the remaining pendants (yet to be made) range in price from $1,500 to $3,300.

Sesquicentennial Squirrel Pendant -

Sesquicentennial Squirrel Pendant

Aptly designed from the black squirrels that make up the village’s charm, the Smith’s commissioned black squirrel pendants comprised of black over white-gold. Customers may also order pendants in yellow-gold. Squirrel pendants are $250 including the chain, with $20 of each sale to help fund the Sesquicentennial Celebration (www.Glendale150.com).
