Owned by the father-son team of John and Brian Smith, Smith Jewelers is probably best known for our signature Jacob Alexander Collection – a group of heirloom quality pieces featuring Brian’s exceptional talents as a jewelry designer. In addition, we feature Certified Diamonds, Alfred Levitt for Cordova Bridal Jewelry, Pearls by Tasaki, Luminox, Mondaine, Alfex, and other high-end Swiss watches.

The Jacob Alexander Custom Design Process

Your custom jewelry piece is a true custom design through personal interaction with Brian Smith, our expert Designer/Jeweler. The Jacob Alexander Collection is named for Brian's two sons, Jacob and Alex.

Step 1: The first step is to develop a concept of the piece-stones, function (ring, pendant, earrings, etc.), style, metal (yellow gold, white gold, platinum). Working with you, Brian produces a rough sketch.

Step 2: Brian next creates a detailed, computer generated rendering which produces a three dimensional, full color presentation of the piece. You can see what the piece will look like in its final form.

Step 3: A wax mold is cut in our store using our REVO milling machine. This assures that the piece will be made exactly as designed.

Step 4: The final step is the presentation of the completed piece. All custom pieces receive a free appraisal by our graduate gemologist.
